TGT supports two types of membership:

Clan Membership

New clans joining TGT embark on a simple process whereby they become part of the community.
As any new element joining a community alters that community, we seek to make sure that we retain stability and that the core values of The Group Thing remain undamaged.

To achieve this, new clans begin a month long process from the moment they join TGT where they learn how the community functions and begin to make their mark within it.
To ensure the success of the process it is important that new members pay attention to the existing structure, staff and members in TGT, and for the Clan Leaders to stay in contact with the TGT leadership & admins.

Whilst TGT is aimed at adult gamers, there are members who are under 18, we expect that all members take this into account in their activities as part of TGT.
TGT has rules of conduct on our forums and our servers, we expect all members to have read and understood these rules and to abide by them before becoming active.

Requirements: Participation on TGT forums and servers and a general positive consensus amongst the TGT server admins and membership.

Individual Membership

An individual member is a player who regularly plays on the TGT servers, visits the forums and contributes to the community, but either has no clan, or their clan does not wish to join the The Group Thing.

Requirements: Good standing in the TGT community and a TGT sponsor ratified by the TGT staff.

Sponsorship

The Group Thing is a community of clans and gamers who combine resources in order to have an array of game servers, leagues and competitions. We do not offer sponsorship at all, but will accept any reasonable approach from individuals or clans who with to join the group and help to support it with their input.
